FAQs

Q: Do you sell ready-made clothing?
A: No. All our clothing is custom made, so we don't have "anything off the rack."

Q: Can I just walk in or do I need an appointment?
A: We see all our clients BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. You can call us at (202) 237-1126, use our Contact Form or schedule an Appointment online.

Q: What kinds of clothing do you make?
A: We specialize in Wedding Dresses, Mother of the Bride or Groom Outfits, Prom Dresses, Outfits for Galas and Men's Suits.

Q: How long is the process?
A: It depends on the garment and the client's ability to attend the necessary fittings. For example, a complex wedding dress takes about 6 months from start to finish. We  can create a mother of the Bride or Groom outfit in 3 months, if the client and chosen fabric are readily available. We will give you an estimate of how long the process will be when you agree to work with us.

Q: Do you require a deposit prior to starting actual work on my garment?
A: Yes we do. In most cases it will be 2/3 of the price we quote you.

Q: Is my deposit refundable?
A: Whether or not your deposit is refundable depends on where we are in the process. Once we order fabrics and begin the actual work your deposit is not refundable.

Q: If I change my mind, once you have ordered the fabrics, can you give them to me?
A: Assuming your deposit fully covers the cost of the fabric(s) we will be more than pleased to provide the fabric(s) to you, if you change your mind before any fabrication (cutting/sewing) has begun. If your deposit doesn't fully cover the cost, you may pay the difference between your deposit and the cost of the fabric(s). At that point, we will gladly provide the fabric(s) you paid for to you. If the fabrics are not available and you change your mind we will refund your deposit less any other incurred costs, which we will explain.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: We accept, cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Venmo, and the Square Cash App Pay. If you pay by check, the check must clear our bank before we order fabric(s) or we begin any other work.

Do you do alterations?
A: We do alterations for our clients, and for referrals from our clients. The alterations we do are often complicated. An example is recutting an entire garment. For simple alterations, such as a simple hem, you are much better off getting it done through a dry cleaner or seamstress, because it will be less expensive.
