October 2016 – Masterclass

 

New Couture Designer, Alvin Thompson, drawing on his decades of experience gave a masterclass on what a career in fashion means to students at the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, D.C.

​

Although he was scheduled to interact with the students for an hour, there was so much interest from them that the session lasted 2 1/2 hours.

​

The school asked if Mr. Thompson would be willing to become part of its faculty. Although flattered by the request, he declined. He did indicate he is willing to give the occasional masterclass going forward.
